Today, August 28, we were contacted by a promotions manager in Nashville, TN.
They ordered a few Large Snack and Candy gift baskets for Kenny Chesney and
Jake Owen.
Tonight is the Kenny Chesney/Jake Owen concert at The NYS Fair.
Today is Jake Owen Birthday.
A pretty cool opportunity that we thought we would share.

The day before our GRAND OPENING - Sunday - June 7th
I (Kim) was here at the shop working and setting up displays and there was a knock
on the door.

Upon answering the door (I looked like a painted mess) not only to see people that I have never met before, Mike Micale and his girlfriend Dawn.
It was an early Sunday morning and Mike was looking for a gift for his best friend who just brought home a new baby boy.
Apologizing for my painted appearance, I invited Mike and Dawn inside.

(Now remember we are not open in Sunday's)
Mike and Dawn were tons of FUN - I gave them a tour of the shop and our large work and design rooms, they were so much fun, they ordered a baby boy/new mommy and new daddy gift basket. (we even delivered it for them on a Sunday)
It was then, I took their order and also explained our promotion (The first 50 people to come into our store and make a purchase receives a free gift) I gave them their FREE GIFT, they couldn't believe that they GOT A FREE GIFT. They were so EXCITED and so was I that Mike wanted a picture of him and Dawn with their FREE GIFT.
Thank You, Mike and Dawn, it was my pleasure to meet you, you guys are so much FUN!
It's the little things that mean the most to our customers, taking the time, on a Sunday (when we are not open) to make a gift and deliver it.

Something Different Gift Baskets - New Location
We are happy to announce that we will be moving into our new store location in June 2009.
We have been asked (by so many of you) in the last 5 months, where are you located?
Yes, we did move our store from our Court Street location to our home temporarily.
OUR NEW STORE LOCATION
5720 South Bay Road in Cicero (across the street from Driver's Village)
Our sister company, Gift Solutions By Kim was located in this building for 5 years.
Then along came a business opportunity and Gift Solutions By Kim was moved into a home based business.
When we purchased Something Different Gift Shoppe in January 15, 2009, we quickly realized that you cannot purchase a 28 year old company and not have a storefront location.
Something Different Gift Baskets has built a large corporate clientele and made many loyal friends in the past 28 years and we look forward to continuing to make your clients, friends and family SMILE.
We are so GRATEFUL and we THANK YOU for your many friendships.
